My Trip to Bristol, TN (Eastern Conference Finals)

If you all don't know me well my family is into racing. My brother and I have been racing for 6 years and my dad raced for 30 some before getting my brother and I into it. Anyways these are pics from Bristol, TN where the held the biggest Jr Dragster event the last three years. There were around 600 jr dragsters total. It was my brothers last year in jrs so we went down to Bristol. It was a 8 1/2 hr to and back from there. We hit huge storms to and from the track, being a couple hours into the trip both times. Well my brother lost first round so that was a bummer but there are plenty of pics. Let me say it is one of the most beautiful tracks ever. Such great scenery. Hope you enjoy the pics. A lot of them are friends from my local track Maple Grove and others are just some pretty neat paint jobs.

Heres more pics.....

Here's one of my favorites. There were three different jrs painted in 3 different Chevy Belair designs based on the year of the Belair.

They run the 1/8 mile. They could probably stick with the 12 second subies on here. Anyways my brothers can go about 7.70s@84 with all the weight out, considering that you can only go as fast as 7.90s. With someone lighter in the car it could go probably 7.50s. A lot of people think they are jokes which they aren't. It is where they produce some of the greatest racers. Where do you think Erica Enders came from? haha

Yeah a lot of people get them professionally done. They can end up costing a good amount. I know of one guy who has a 6 second twin turbo probe that just spend $20,000 on just the paint job. Some racers tend to go all out with their paint jobs.

Nice.. I was born and raised there right off of the Volunteer Parkway.

It is beautiful down that way.

Looks like an awesome time.. and its amazing the detail on those paint jobs.
