today I tried M105 and M205 with a cutting pad on high speed. seem to help just a very little bit. I'm looking for a pro to do or a better option than what I'm trying

I've never done it myself. I've searched about it a few times, results seem to vary. Some people start off with 1200 or 1500 grit wet and work up to 2000 then use that powder mixed with water.
I just know that you should make sure to not get it too warm or it can distort/make the area wavy. I've only ever sanded/buffed fog lights and stuff, so it's not as critical as a windshield. |

When I bought my car I had scratches from an ice scraper right across my drivers side right in the path of my vision, you couldnt really feel them but nothing I did, including various compounds and window polishes could ever get it out, even with my porter cable DA polisher on high speed. I wound up just paying safelite to put a new window in.
