Some pic of my 4 inch Alum exhaust for my civic

My friend Jesse from AZ made this for me. I went with Alum to help save weight, b/c a 4 inch ss would be crazy heavy and since I need full exhaust in SFWD I wanted to save as much weight as possible. The exhaust is all V bands with a burns ultra light race muffler.

Enjoy

I have just about everything you can imagine done to my civic.

My downpipe is 4 inch so might as well keep it 4 inch the whole way back.

No sound clips yet

That is going to be crazy loud. Turbo GNs running 11s only run 3" exhaust.

You cannot possibly need an exhaust that big! My buddy's high performance exhaust on his 3500 Turbo Diesel is only 4"!!!

If you would have read my orginal post I need exhaust for the class I am running in SFWD. I would rather not restrict my 4inch downpipe by going down to 3 inch exhaust. Since I can not run open downpipe this is my next best choice. Yes car is turboed.

Thats great that GN run 11's on 3 inch exhaust but most of the cars in SFWD run low 10's to high 9's so 11's will put me back in bracket class not somewhere I want to be.

PS - Why use a muffler at all once you have a 4" pipe?

I thought you were running SFWD you should know why you need a muffler. It is part of the rules.

EXHAUST:
All exhaust must flow through functioning muffler(s); must exit
behind rear tires. Any vehicle that did not come equipped with a
muffler(s) from the factory permitted, provided complete,
unmodified (except for header) OEM exhaust system is utilized.
See General Regulations 1:3.

You have me confused with Ray. I am pretty much stock, so I won't be racing this year.

I was told that aluminum could not withstand the heat and the reason it is not used for exhaust components.

If this works out for you I'm definitely going to be doing this for my next mod.

Looks awesome!
