Got the firebird back!

It's runnin ok, still needs a tuneup. It has an oil leak too, but I don't care. I only know it's there because it's dripping on something hot, so I'm gonna guess it's a valve cover. I'll look at it in the mornin.

I have to keep it at my uncles though, because I can't have it at my apartment complex most of the time. (and he'll get more use out of it than I will, hahaha. It's currently at my complex though.

I gotta get used to driving this thing again. Soooo much bigger than teh Turd.

(and for anyone who doesn't know, 1984 Firebird SE. 107k chassis, 30k 305 engine, 107k 700R4)

I think I can get pics of it tomorrow. It starts getting body work this month, so it'll be back in beautiful condition.

I've had this thing. Just never got around to doing anything with it.

Still not doing much. I spent money to get it runnin, and my uncle is spending money to get it lookin good. He was supposed to officially sign the title to me on Christmas, but he never did. Everyone considers it to be mine, cause I make it all happen. I'm the one that got the engine pulled and rebuilt, I'm the one that got the tires, I'm the one that fixed the engine so that it would run after sitting neglected...he's being stubborn and won't sign it over.

But, either way, I have it right now. And I missed it.

It IS home, lol.

It's just in BAD running shape. Gotta get this thing running real good. Needs a tuneup and I gotta find an adapter for the PCV, cause the stock one isn't fitting right for some reason. I keep idle dipping.

Are you planning on doing any mods to the firebird or just trying to get it run? On saturday at the track I saw a turbo Trans Am that looked like around an '86ish that looked stock. Thing was quick and ran mid 12s.

For now, getting it fixed up. Will be doing body this month, and hopefully paint. The exterior needs more TLC than the engine. It runs strong and easily burys the 85mph speedometer.

Not so sure on that anymore.

I jumped underhood this afternoon, and we found that there's a bunch of missing vacuum lines.

Actually, on the way out of the shop, it stalled on me. I might be better off just getting a whole new engine. The guy that put this in really fked it up.

get a 350 SBC or something. dont keep the 305 if you get another motor.

...Your not gonna wanna see the bill your gonna have to pay to build the motor...Besides you want it streetable and their is just so much available for the 350 Like a vortech supercharger
