Does anyone know any scrap yards or salvage yards that pay decent money for trucks? I'm getting rid of my fathers truck. Its a 1988 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat, 4x4, inline 6, with only 109k

One yard we called offered $350 and they'd come pick it up. The truck is drivable, so I can take it to a yard if they'd offered more.

Does anyone have any advice or input?

Truck runs and drives. Clean title. Its just old.

needs normal maintenance, and one of the leaf springs replaced (which i have) but this isnt a for sale thread.

Offer it to a Church or other non-profit org...They can give you a letter of donation for what ever, Id say up to $1000. My church would take it and turn it into a snow plow truck if the 4x4 wheel drive is working. $1000 is about 1/8 of what we normally spend in annual plowing fees!!!

Harrys U-Pull in Pennsburg is doing their promo for vehicles. Trucks are $500+ for ones that drive in.
