Over the last few years i have been playing around with a little buzz box welder and just welding scraps and stuff i had laying around. i recently picked up a nice welder and also got involved in a project thats requiring some custom fabrication. Anyone know of a good place where i can either order online, or in the central jersey area that has sheet metal and tubed metal at reasonable prices?

what kind of metal, theres all kinds of metal. i work at a metal shop so we have tons of scrap laying around.

McMaster has a ton of selection, but can be very expensive (or sometimes suprisingly cheap). And if you're from around here, you'll get your stuff probably within 24 hours of when you click order. They are ridiculous with that.

OP, Check out http://www.metal-stock.com/ They mostly sell in bulk but have a large amount of scraps (shorts) they sell to the public.. A surprisingly good selection!

They are in Phila. though, just off the Cottman exit.

ill sell you some, we stock 304 stainless tube from 1 1/4 to 3" and can add any mandrel bends you may need.

i have a ton of scrap aluminum, mostly .125" 3003. we also have a bit of 316 stainless in #14ga and #11ga

Ill take the scrap off your hands. While your at it just bend up the full exhaust for my rx7 and Ill haul it away.
