The Polar Bear Plunge (or Polar Plunge) is a fundraising event that challenges an individual or group to enter into a cold body of water in order to raise money for Special Olympics. Plunge participants set a fundraising goal and get pledges from family, friends and colleagues for their commitment to be “freezin' for a reason.” Polar Plunge benefits nearly 20,000 Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes – the state’s largest year-round organization devoted to sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. By being a part of the Plunge challenge, you are allowing thousands upon thousands of children and adults with intellectual disabilities to experience a brighter tomorrow."

I will be doing the 2012 Polar Plunge at Neshaminy State Park in PA in the effort to raise money for the Special Olympics. My personal goal is to raise $100. Every dollar donated will help me get closer to my goal. You can donate by clicking on my direct link.
