Need seats redone

I am currently looking to get my seats redone in my Cobalt sedan. Front and rear. Looking for quotes for both vinyl and leather. Currently they are grey leather that was partially half assed stained black.

I am thinking either all black or black with a color insert like red or lime green maybe.

If you do custom upholstery or know of a decent cheap place with fast turn around please pm me or email me at Burnt2death@yahoo.com I need it done before July 15th. Hoping for sometime next week.

Not looking to spend more than a few hundred cash in hand.

oh hey, look, thats me!! hahaha Thanks Jay!

If you're looking for custom upholstery, you're going to spend a lot more that a couple hundred, even with using cheaper vinyl. Custom leather upholstery is expensive, and if you get a cheap quote, be weary of it.

Theres a company that makes seat covers that look really good that a lot of the Scion folks use, called "Clazzio," but I just looked on their website and they dont have any applications for the cobalt. http://www.clazzioseatcovers.com/

Katzkin makes seat surface replacements that can be ordered in a variety of ways. I have Katzkin leather in my car, did the install myself, but it is still very expensive. http://www.katzkin.com/

Your best bet may be checking out ebay and see what they offer in leather-like or vinyl/pvc seat covers, or check out the cobalt forums. I'm sure theres a wealth of information on what other owners are doing.

I'm on the cobalt forums and a vendor on some as well. Either people get eBay crap covers or vinyl. Only a few have leather unless they bought the SS seats. I have grey leather currently. I can get a full set if SS seats front and rear for around $500-$900 on eBay.

I have gotten quotes of around $350 for vinyl and some more expensive. I'm not trying to spend more than $750 in general and will probrably go the vinyl route. However I don't really know about getting the vinyl skins off of eBay because they get a lot of mixed results as far as quality and fit. Even though it would only cost about $250 I'm not looking for crap...

Anyone on here do upholstery and if so how much do you charge for what i have mentioned earlier? I'm not trying to drive across state to get them done like I was planning originally.

Katzkin doesn't have my application.

You'd never have it done in the short time frame unless the vinyl was in stock. Figure order tomorrow, wont be to a shop till Monday at the earliest.

Charged $500 to do these in real cheap vinyl (sale for $4/yard). Bottom of rear seat is just laying on foam in the pic.

Where did you get them done? Pretty much those seats are what I want done... I can live with around $500. Some places have been quoting me $2200 just for vinyl... Wtf

I charged a buddy $500 to do them... they're not mine haha. That was $3/yard vinyl tho which is actually for boats etc. I have enough to do another interior but it's not the softest.

The shift boot with red stitching below is the 'better' vinyl I've used. It's $25/yard.

I mess around with upholstery in my spare time and worked at a shop part time for 9 months. Unfortunatelly at this time I don't have the time to do it let alone by the 15th. Full time job and too many other projects at once.

The time line has changed as no one could get it done for me that quick. I am located in the Pottstown Pa area by the way.

Thread can be closed actually. I bought SS black and red leather seats. They were installed a while ago. Problem solved.
