Car troubles...

Went to get an exedy HD twin disc installed. During the install everything that could of gone wrong did. My transfer case blew up at the same time. Had to buy a built tre transfer case. 1 week later I picked my car up ( today). On the way home I get stuck on I-95 traffic with a new twin plate ( ive never driven anything but stock clutches). Overall im glad its done, I got pretty much a bulletproof driveline. Only thing I hate is that rattle at idle when engaged, with the twin disk ( hopefully will go away with mileage like everyone else says). I got 582 miles of transfer case breakin left, then Ill see you all on the streets.
Sorry just had to vent.

Ill post a pic. of the nickel size hole in my transfer case later.

How much did that badboy set you back?? (the exedy) I was looking in to them before I bought my current clutch, but $1800 for a clutch is a bit pricey!

The rattle will not stop. Thats what twin disk clutches sound like. A friend of mine has a twin disk in his porsche. Its loud as hell. You'll get used to it

Solid transfer case or not, 7K launches WILL grenade parts.

At least you didn't have to replace it after 1000 miles. Yes, 1000. First trip to the track.
