When ever I have a quad over the winter it doesn't snow, when I don't have one we get bombed. It never fails..
Bikes/quads I've had in descending order - -87' Trx250r (wasn't finished with ground up build when it snowed last winter) -88' Trx250r (sold previous summer) -86 350x (road over my leg first day, trikes are dangerous ha!, sold) -03 Z400 (440 kit, ran great, never snowed) -03 ktm125 (not a snow machine) -00 RM125 ( " " ) -87 Tecate 4 (snowed but was by myself all night = beat) -89 500 quad racer (Literally sold 3 days before a big snow storm) -90 250x (snowed, but friend wrecked bad about 20 mins into riding, went to hospital instead) If you want it to snow this season you better hope I don't get one soon

Although I dont personally own any, I do go quadding, jetskiing, and snowmobiling a few times a year. Thank God I have friend with multiple machines. Great times to be had on anything with a motor!
I did have a showroom fresh KLX110 I dicked around on in the neighborhood and such, but sold it a few years ago. I miss that little thing

00 RM 125
And a chinese XR50 with a 128cc Lifan motor (4 speed w/ clutch!) Thing rips! I rarely get to ride the 125 because I live on an acre of land, but the pitbike is perfect for those days where I want to putz around they yard a bit. Really fun to wheelie. I got the RM125 about 6 months ago, it still had its original piston in it! And the rings had almost no blowby! I still put a top end in it anyway, but needless to say, I was pretty pleased to see that.

I've got my Polaris Outlaw 500, and Suzuki Eiger 400 to play with, the Outlaw is a mean ass machine in the snow...
If it snows, we should all have a TST quad/bike meet to ride. -Jesse

i havent ridden in a while either, my rancher has about 160 miles on it, i had a big bear 250 before that and i beat the **** out of the thing haha rode it a ton then bought the rancher and sold the big bear but i fell out of my groove during the transition. I miss my dirtbikes too but they were only good to ride in the spring summer and fall and my dad and brothers would be out in the snow and id be inside so i decided to make the switch and havent looked back since haha

i like 2strokes but for the hardcore racin the 4stroke was the way to go.now if i was to get back into ridin id prob just pit ride and would love a nice 250 2stroke to rip.but the pure power of the 4strokes is amazing compaired to clutchin a 2stroke for power

i started ( at the age of 7) on a 4 stroke then as i got more into it i went back and forth three or four times from 2 stroke back to 4 stroke. the 2 stokes were fun but like you said the power of a 4 stroke was amazing. i will always be into powersports and when i have kids ill buy them dirtbikes before i buy myself a better car because theres something about the fun times and memories with them, ill always remember the times me and my family went riding as a kid. and for anyone that has never ridden i highly suggest geting into it, its a great time for everyone even if your a beginner

the 2 stroke vs 4 stroke thing isnt really a matter of power, but more of traction. The 4stroke hits so much smoother than a 2stroke.
I'm actually AA (pro), and i've been racing off-road for 10 years now. Here is an old video from last year (i was still A class back then, surprisingly i can ride a lot faster than this now http://vimeo.com/10361268 |

yes rwd you are correct i raced motocross in classb all over.when younger was one the 2strokes then when moved up made the switch but i personally prefer the 4strokes.when i was younger i wish the honda 150r was out because seein that puts the 85s to shame.

Ive wanted a 250f for the LONGEST time. Still outta my pricerange. The ones that are in my pricerange are beat to piss. Im alright on a 125, but I can RIP on a 250f... I guess everyones like that though.
Totally down for a TST snow ride though! Or any ride, really- if anyones got a place to ride around here, Im down. We could also hit the coal mines in Hazleton- 2 hrs from me, but you can ride all day for free, and hit many different terrains. Hillclimbs, trails, silt dunes.. its a blast.
