Stare into the center of this image... you're getting sleepy, very sleeeeepy........

When you wake you'll believe everything the TV and the Govt. tells you... that gigantic missile shaped object soaring straight up into the sky 30+ miles out into the ocean is actually just a regular airplane. Trust us.

I'll believe a jumbo jet crashed into that "crater" in Pennsylvania on 9/11 before I believe that's a plane.

To a point I think there's some validity in that, but there's a huge problem as well. First, there is absolutely nothing that happens in this country or off of its shores that is not known about by "The Man". In all seriousness, there's no way something like that mysterious 'contrail' goes unexplained. Someone knows exactly what it was. If it was something as relatively innocent as a rocket nerd experiment that's fine, but where's the guy at the press conference telling us that's what it was? Why the cryptic half-assed "ehh... it wasn't us, it's probably just a plane, no big deal. Move along.. next topic" response from anyone who has the power to say otherwise? Gigantic smoke emitting objects speeding straight up into the atmosphere do not usually have simple answers. Any simplistic bubble-headed response like 'i dunno. airplane probably' should make everyone's hair stand on end and demand to know why the evasive response.

Everybody's seen videos of those rocket models and whatnot and I've seen a handful in person but nothing on that scale...looks way too big to me. My first thought when seeing the footage was a Submarine launching one of those missiles

That's my guess as well. Among a million questions, my main concern is this... if it was an error, why not a public admittance? Surely there would be an uproar about it but it's better than not knowing what or why.

Simply put, if you believe that it was an airplane then I seriously question your ability to formulate your own rational thought. There's something very wrong if you can't look at something like that and immediately be pissed off at the insult to your (our) intelligence that is the explanation 'it's just a regular airplane'.

Agreed. The saddest part is there are millions out there, arguably the majority of the nation, who will believe that statement.

The way I see it is it makes sence to keep it simple the general public doesn't need to know what it was, and no matter what they said it was there will always be someone doubting the validity of what they say it is.

I have a real big problem with that. Believe me when I say that I have little respect for the majority of simple-minded sheep that call America home, but to flat out lie or conveniently omit information because the general public 'doesn't need to know' about something is incredibly f***ed up. We need to know... it's our right to know what goes on in our skies and elsewhere within our borders. Unfortunately the majority of the population is content with being told it was an airplane or being told any number of lies about recent events... as long as they can live blissfully ignorant and get their Starbucks each morning. It's just plain sickening.

Also, about people doubting every explanation given... if someone told us all tomorrow that the object speeding through the sky was a missile that was launched by mistake, there would be an initial shock followed by a general understanding... it's not really that much of a big deal. It's the over-simplified evasive explanation like "just an airplane. nothing to see here, move along" that gets questioned by intelligent concerned individuals. It's answers like that that should make you feel insulted and betrayed.

I see what your saying honestly I do, but did it effect you in any way? Probably not so why get worked up about it you know your gonna be lied to and there isn't anything you can do about it. If it was an accident people would be up in arms about it, there is far worse to worry about, and I feel sometimes that with military stuff the general public really doesn't need to know what's going on if you dis you'd be in the military.

http://contrailscience.com/

It was Flight AWE808 from Hawaii to Phoenix giving off a contrail in the setting sun. The fiery glimmer you see only for a couple seconds was a reflection of the sun off the plane's windows. Missiles give off a steady fiery blast from the rear. The people saying "it was probably a plane" were right and not trying to hide anything AND don't have time for people like you hence no press conference...

The plane was heading west to east which makes it appear to be rising (you know when you look out west from Cali. it kinda looks like to Ocean drops off? reverse that).. Unless you of course you still think the worlds flat...

If you call the pentagon tomorrow when you see a contrail from a plane in the sky and ask if they know about the missile I'm sure they'll have no answers.

Logical answer - most likely a plane giving off a contrail because there was no missile launches.

Ratings building answer - It was a missile, pentagon knows nothing about a missile launch, ask experts why a missile would be launched, Who launched the missile?.. Follow this with more scary ASSUMPTIONS to get the fking idiots in this Country up in arms and tuning in.

That isnt a plane.. there is no way a passenger plane leaves a trail that big. If it turns out to be a plane, ok, i was wrong but if it is a missile our government needs to man up and admit some douche launched a missile by accident or, it was on purpose and this is why it was launched.

I doubt we will ever get an explination. They will brush it under the carpet like everything else. Let just go bomb a country and call it defense!
