Go Pro settings

Ok anyone know what are teh best settings for using a Go Pro on or in a car? The video is coming out ok but the wide noise is too much. I think I have been on the 720 video setting.

Waterproof case will help a lot with the wind noise.

No wind noise with my setup ;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzWO68tCVoY

I have a 25ft 1/8in extension cable to hook up my Audio Technica PRO24-CM microphone anywhere in or outside the car and it sounds great. Putting it where you see it in the pic gives me little to no wind noise and great sound of the exhaust. The video has the camera mounted on the sunroof but here are a few pics when I mounted it inside the front bumper and ran the cable all through the engine bay, through the cabin and into the trunk.

wut?

The waterproof and skeleton door are two different doors. The skeleton door has holes in it making it... not waterproof. lol

You get 1 case, but two doors. One that has holes in it, the other doesn't.

It is a car accesory is it not? Also My question was for better settings when using it on a car so that there is better sound when used on a car.

To really answer your question, there isn't any better "settings" on the GoPro itself that is going to get rid of wind noise. There are tons (including mine that I posted above) of youtube vids that show how good an external mix setup sounds with proper wind protection. Might have to pony up for an Audio Technica PRO24-CM if you're really serious.

100% worth it, otherwise wide-angle pics you're either way too far or too close to capture what you want, at least in my experience.

I got a LCD bacpac and recently purchased the Snake River Prototyping BlurFix with a circular polarizer and a spare clear UV lens.

DONT use the suction mount if you go canoeing... lost mine in 4' of water in a creek and took 30 minutes to find, 20' down from where it got hit from a large branch sticking out of the water.

BlurFix + CP filter, no photoshop, just reduced size:

I was just throwing it out there... about $350 on the line and I was freaking out.

~$80 for the LCD and it comes with 4 new case backings. (Skeleton and waterproof for both the regular case and the wristband case)

If you're looking for batteries and a charger, check out the following. I've only used these a few times but haven't had issues.

Thank you but my girlfriend works at bestbuy so I'm looking at like $160 for the camera and auto package, it's a pretty sweet deal.

Hero 2 for $160? Wow.

I picked up the Battery Pac today at Best Buy. LOVE the double battery life.

I really like your set up but Not sure that I am that dedicated to making videos to do it. I might just play around with mounting locations. I should know a little better after doing an AutoX with it.
