My white pearl 2011 WRX hatchback

Well here is my Journal

PICTURES ARE AT THE END OF THIS POST

My 2011 Subaru WRX Limited Hatchback in Satin White Pearl arrived from Japan (ordered from dealership) about 2.5 months after the order date. It was tuff waiting that long for the car but it was well worth the wait. Driving around my dads minivan for that 2 month period really made the transition from ford windstar to boosted AWD 5 speed a lot more fun than the transition from my supercharged civic si to the wrx would have been.

When I finally picked up the car from the Roberts Subaru in mid december i was very excited. I was able to negotiate 2000 under the sticker price for the car. Then because i waited they gave me some more money off. I felt i had gotten a good deal on the car and was satisfied with the purchase the second i drove it off the lot. The car has been nothing but pleasant since have had it.

A week into owning the car christmas rolled around and my lovely girlfriend bought me some nice 20% tint from SHADES of GREY. My parents got me some nice Ralley Armor mud flaps for christmas as well. 1000 miles later I threw on some 02 wrx wheels wrapped in brand new blizzak ws70's that I bought my self weeks before as a birthday present.

I Then proceeded to drive 1,800 miles out to Vail Colorado to spend my winter there. I sold my si and bought the wrx for the purpose of having an AWD car in CO. It was an awesome experience, but did a number on my paint job. By the time I got home at the end of April my new WRX had 13,000 miles on it. It also obtained several windshield cracks as well as a plethora of chips in the front bumper cover and hood. The hood touched up nice because the chips were down to the metal, that was an easy fix. However I was not able to fix my basically sandblasted front bumper cover. I clayed and waxed it so it looks a bit better than it did back in April. Since then I have obviously put the summer dunlops back on that are wrapped around the 2011 stock wrx wheels which IMO are pretty nice wheels.

Anyway thats the story of my car and how we got to the point we are at now. One of my younger brothers friends parents just bought him a 2011 sti which i was very jealous of, so i was forced to spend some money on a cobb downpipe and accessport to make my balls feel bigger.

Modifications:
****I <3 Dogs Magnet
****English Springer Spaniel Dog Decal
20% Llumar Tint (by Shades of Grey)
Rally Armor Urethane Mud Flaps
Cobb Tuning Catted Downpipe
Cobb Tuning AccessPort
02 WRX wheels with Bridgestone Blizzak WS70's (winter)
Subaru Crossbars
Yakima Fatcat 6 ski rack (winter)

Questions and Comments and Ratings encouraged.
Ryan

Just an FYI, you may have to torch the bolts from the DP to the turbo, ryan down at area 1320 installed mine, good thing I didn't do it myself, we had to torch the bolts loose because they wouldn't budge, even with 3000 or so miles on my car.

i read that somewhere on here (i forget where) this morning. My friend just took a wrench to them and all came off easily but had trouble with one bolt. He gave it some force and the bolt snapped right off. lol. We just put a new one in when installing the cobb dp. It went it pretty easily.

Although, he told me he couldn't reinstall the stock turbo heat shield with the new dp. Seemed like he just didn't want to. I wonder if it can be reinstalled?
