Car wont go into gear
if anyone can lead me in the right direction or any ideas before i go crazy. i just got the car and have been driving it everyday and now this .. i have a full car lift at my house so i can fix whatever needs to be done or i can even check something if anyone has an idea of what it might be |

does it shift into gears when the car is off? does the shifter move at all or is it wedged in neutral? do you have movement from side to side?

If you have a lift at your house, you should have some general knowledge what to look for when a car won't go into gear...
clutch frield, no fluid or need bleeding, shifter needs adjusted, ect,

Your lucky the house came with a lift. Thats a sweet find.
When was the last time you did trans fluid and diff fluid? Maybe check your T.O. bearing.

ok so idk i guess the clutch was stuck so i got it unstuck and got it started and drove it down the st and it died again..so now its stuck at the bottom of the st. what else is going to go wrong with this car

do your lights get dim sometimes? any other electrical issues? Does the engine sputter when it does, or just shut off on you? I'd pick up a service manual for 240's and start double checking all your grounds.

battery is dead i just dont no y its like sputtering and idling really low now..then when you put it in 1st to go the car always stalls..i know how to drive stick the car just wont GO

i'd also check your maf. Make sure it's clean (pick up some maf cleaner) also check to make sure the wires aren't messed up. Also, with a dead battery, i'd check out your alternator. If your battery can't hold a charge, and the alternator isn't working, it'd explain the random shut downs. i'd bring the battery and alternator to an auto place that does free tests on them and eliminate some options.

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you put it in the on position before turning it the rest of the way to start?
Also, could it have an aftermarket alarm? That would def show its face if the battery was replaced.
