might be teh wrong section but here it goes

plan is to move up to morrisville in a few weeks and i was wondering about a few auto laws.

~whats the max decibel rating for exhaust? "sure im gonna fail that"
~ride height?
`emissions? "i keep seeing obdII scans but the car is a 91"
~window tint all the way around? "not tinted yet but will be in the next year"
~if you have two outside mirrors does pa still require you to have that annoying ass rear view?

sure theres more ish i can get yoked on, but i'm suffering from a brain fart.

thanks,
~Skott B

If the car came with a cat, you are gonna need a cat. If the car is obscenely loud, they will bonk you. Just have an exhaust shop make you a "bolt-in" section of exhaust that has a resonator to make it quiet for the inspection as well as a cat.
You WILL fail OBD1 with no cat b/c they run the car on the dyno for a certain RPM, for a certain amount of time.
There is an exception, if the car is being re-inspected in PA, and no more than 5000 miles have elapsed since the last inspection, you can get an emissions exempt. But you will still fail on the visual b/c there is no cat present.
All vaccum lines must run to their corresponding equipment, EGR must at least appear be functional if the car came with it(some will check it, some wont), EVAP system must be intact, and any other emmision control equipment outlined on the sticker under your hood must appear/be funtional/intact.
No minimums on ride height that i know of, although you will piss them off if they can't get it on a lift.
No laws on tint in PA, it is up to the discretion of an inspecting police officer, an emissions station cannot pass or fail you based on tint, unless it is across the windshield.
All mirrors that came on the car need to be on the car. All cars sold in the US for the past umpteen years have had rear view mirrors. Moreover, if you want to get rid of you rear-view you are a dumb/jack-ass. JMO.
Of course alot of this can be voided if you have friend that works at an inspection station, in which case he/she may be able to take care of the "issues".

And don't ask where to find one of said stations, its a good way to get a thread locked and someone in trouble.

mirrors, yeah just my thing. i never liked them.

just remembered:
head light conversions? (put the same light pattren as the 6054 bulbs i had but they are brighter w/ just two h3 55 watt bulbs.)
third brake? (light gone to bu bye)
reverse lights? (oopsey - filled and shaved. so they went bu bye too)
bov release to atmosphere? (ta hells w/ a recirc)
w/g release to atmosphere? (no need for that extra whistle dick pipe imo)

anyone here good at photoshoping stickers..... seriously i'm joking on that, don't lock the thread.
