Newer bike owner question...

Guys, I just bought a ZX10r 2 1/2 months ago and i'm not totally confident going into the corners hard. I'm not sure how far i can push the stock tires. I haven't ridden in a few years and was wondering how long it takes to really become comfortable with your bike.
