leaky transmission...

Are there any symptoms for a manual transmission leaking gear oil? I was told during my last inspection that I have a transmission leak. Is there anything I would notice as the fluid level gets lower and lower?

But what if they encouraged it AND the stickers turn out to be awesome? They COULD POSSIBLY say something like "I love Mike and would turn gay for his tattooed, bmw driving, new york living ass". just saying.

And 2ndly, I'm assuming there's a fill hole where I can just add some. Is that something I can access just by jacking the car up?

As far as symptoms go, as the fluid level gets lower you may notice increased noise from the transmission, and if it's low enough, probably some grinding of the gears. I wouldn't drive it like that. I don't know where the fill hole would be on your car.

The first thing you should do is find out where its leaking from. Topping it off is not a fix.
