Good luck.. You should cut out sugar as well. You will really strip the weight off. Also you can eat bread just not anything with enriched flour. Make sure if you do it is stone ground whole wheat. Also if you do eat carbs make sure they are from wheat. Like Cous Cous, and brown rice instead of white. Good luck. I lost over 60lbs when i cut those out.

Well If I can give you advice... Drop the sugar. Cold turkey. You will shock your metoblism into a high gear. You can have some things with sugar. Just depends on the kind of sugar and how it spikes your glucose. Like you can eat a no sugar added fudgical. Or some berries or an apple but stay away from banananas and pineapple. YOu will start to notice you dont' get as tirred and hunger pains will no longer exist. Eat 5-6 small meals a day that way your metobolism is always going. Also take in good fat and lots of protien. Try and stay away from the cheesteak with out the roll bit. If you are strict during the weekend you can cheat on the weekends.

I lost a little over 35#'s in 6months, while gaining muscle the entire time, here is my diet, and my complete workout....before/after pictures tell a thousand words though. I was 210 in the first picture, 175 in the second picture (PM'ed). I am now 172.

My diet really isn't anything too special. A big help for me has been taking ephedrine and caffeine to control my appetite (25mg+200mg two times OR LESS/day, 3 weeks on, 1 week off, 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off, and I don't take it every day, and never take it on Sundays). I have also noticed that when not taking it, my appetite is still suppressed. I guess I am just getting used to eating less. It's also a huge "kick in the ass" to make me go to the gym. Here are the basics of what I eat though, almost every day....

Take e/c
For breakfast, I have a bag of beef jerky
For lunch I have a big tuna salad sandwich, or chef salad
Get home from working, take e/c and have a protein shake
Go to gym on M/W/F, or run on M/T
Dinner is a full meal, ranges from steak+corn, to spaghetti+salad, whatever the dinner is
Drink Protein shake after dinner

On Sunday's, I don't have to follow anything. If I want to eat, I eat. If I want a protein shake, I'll have it, if not, no big deal. But I don't eat any junk food.

2 nights out of the week I go out and drink a decent amount of beer (10 drinks or more, usually on Wednesday night OR Thursday night and either Friday night OR Saturday night).

NO SNACKING. PERIOD. End of discussion. DRINK WATER (LOTS OF IT, nice cold water)

My workout is, in order.....

M/W/F
3x10 (each arm) free range flies (w/free weights, own exercise)
3x20 (switching each arm) hammer curls
3x10 shrugs
3x10 dead lifts
5x10 lat pull downs
3x10 fly machine
5x10 reverse? flies (whatever they are called)
7-9 minutes of 70# crunches (length of two full songs)
10, 1 minute 6" leg lifts
3x10 Calfs
3x10 leg press
5x10 bench

MINIMAL RESTING IN BETWEEN. My ENTIRE workout takes 40minutes. I don't work with a partner, don't chit chat, and don't walk around and waste time.

Tuesday/Thursday
15 minutes intense cardio

Bread/food with carbs are too good to leave out.

BTW, NO DIET is going to work the same for every person. In the beginning, everyone told me that there was no way in hell my diet was going to work, well, it did.

Just substitute ice water in for apple juice. If you want apple juice once a day, it's not going to hurt the diet. Everything in moderation, I just don't like sweet stuff, so it was easy for me to completely get rid of it.

Yea, I've been going to the gym a lot more recently. I just got word that my fitness test for the police academy is about a month earlier then I was originally told. So now, I have to be ready for the test on Feb. 27 instead of late March. Ugh, the agony. The only thing I am concerned with is the run. I'm not a runner, haha

I misread this. If you're trying to gain wain, lots and lots of whey/protein shakes. 4000+ calories/day.

Quizno's Mesquite Chicken with bacon, a Large, has about 70grams of protein. Eat half at 5, eat the second half at 7:30. Great dinner The split for f/p is near as perfect as you can get

I sent you a PM too (ray), to see what 210 down to 175 looks like.

I would suggest eating some carbs as your body needs them to give you energy and I would eat oatmeal in the morning, it is a great way to cut cholestoral. Also, IMHO, its best to do all this as naturally as possible. If your body cant do it on its own, then that generally means it wasnt meant too. losing weight too quickly, binge dieting or loading up on weight gainer and suppluments to put on weight all can have negative effects. SOme immediatly, some in the future and some unknown as a majority of the suppluments arent regulated by the FDA. Just my .02 cents though. I gained 20 pounds naturally in a year and have hit a plateau, but i feel great and I feel my body looks natural. I choose to listen to what my body is tellign me.

One more thing, variety is key. Dont do the same work out week in week out. Change the reps, the amount of weight, the days you work certain muscles, the distance you run. Your body will adapt if you allow it and the gains/losses will be less apparent.
