Place to put in hoodpins in CF hood

Does anyone know a place that will do this, and do a good job at it? Also approximately how much will it cost?

I just picked up a VIS hood for my galant and I am getting it put on tonight and getting hoodpins installed. I have seen pics and heard so many storied that the hoods come flying up cause the latch breaks. End result messed up hood, dented roof, cracked windsheild, I have even seen headlights getting cracked also. I don't get it though. I was at a cruise night last night and saw 2 turboed civics with no hoodpins. How are they able to move that fast and the hood doesn't come up on them

i would probably put it ony cf hood. i wouldnt take the chance. a cf hood is much more prone to slamming the windshield regradless of the manufacturer.

yeah I understand whatcha mean. Well my hood when it went on last night didn't see to be able to cause the hood lock latch to close on it. It required too much force and I can see that causing the hood to get damaged slamming it shut. So in the mean time the hood just has 2 locking hoodpins. Pics will be posted later on. In process of getting a spring with a different tension that will allow the hood to actually move the latch to lock on it.

most manufactures reccomend the use of the factory hood latch used in conjunction with the hood locks...

Hood pins are the only ones that are fine w/o the factory hood latch...
