Im not talking just the bulbs either. Need the housings. Preferably 2 types of lighting. 1 ambience/chill for nighttime camping/bout to go to sleep, 1 for bright as hell need to get work done.

LEDglow has nice work flood/spot lights. A buddy has 2 flood and 3 spot on his gokart and its stupid bright.
For regular LEDs, I always go to v-leds.com. Their LEDs are way better then SuperBrightLEDs and have better customer service in my experience. |

And? They both have work/offroad lights, bar lights, cathode/led tubes, etc.
You can buy LED rope light that is dimmable, as well as multi color programable LED rope/tube for accents behind items (like behind TV/main tower speakers, etc) depending on the setup. |

You're already running a DC to AC converter for your TV, why not just add another one and put anything you want in?

Have you checked Home Depot or Lowes? They do have some LED light fixtures that include the proper inverters to convert 120vac to 12vdc. You can bypass the inverter and power with 12vdc.

Get Track lighting and run 12v through it and use the new 12v LED bulbs. You may need to run another battery thats run in series just to get extra amp for the extra draw but it will be far more efficient then running 12v through an DC converter to run 120v lighting. Plus the LED stuff is near zero heat so it wont turn into a freaking oven after an hour of 8 track set running.

I agree that an inverter is inefficient. I'd stick with 12V if you are powering by battery. Are you running a generator or just running off of a battery, or two, or three?

Its nice to have lighting whenever you want--- think of it like ultra dome lighting.
I ended up going with 6 of these: http://www.amazon.com/LEDwholesalers...lesalers+ar111 The setup gives me 50 lumens per square foot inside the truck so that i can work on the bikes while driving from track to track. my only concern is the narrow band of the light--- but it should be a great upgrade from what i had in there now. I will also have a work light that i can plug in the inverter if necessary. -E
