well for some of us losing half of our net worth means having $20 Billion instead of $40 billion lol

I love that car and I've had the pleasure of seeing Ralph Lauren's Type 57 SC Atlantic at the Boston Museum's exhibit of his collection. Absolutely my favorite vintage Bugatti of all time. I really wish they'd make a modern front engined GT car with a retro look with this design.

Saw this car at the Cranbrook Concours where it won best in show. Amazing car. Its my understanding that out of the 4 built, there are only two left, and Ralph Lauren has the other.

Yeah I saw the tv show on Ralph Laurens collection. It's ****ing insane.

He may not have as many cars as Jay Leno but his collection is all concourse quality historic cars. I doubt any of his cars are worth less then 5 million.

Thats is now the most a car has ever sold for. Before that I believe it was 13 million for a ferrari.

Jaguar Heritage was offered 30 million for the XJ13 recently and won't sell.

I am with you, I would totally would just rather buy a Del Sol instead of a car where only 3 other ones exist in the entire world.

Really? People on a car forum making fun of car collectors? haha thats funny. Seriously though, that car is awesome, I love it.

If you guys thought that was nuts, check this one out.....

This car sold for over $370K. The proceeds were going to charity, so that may have had something to do with it. But this car will never/cant be restored, so it is going to stay like that.

Edit: Its a 1925 Bugatti Brescia.

I collect brooks bicycle seats. I have one from the 30s that looks pretty ****ty but I enjoy it just like I do the others. Same kinda thing I guess. I really don't use any of them but enjoy the craftsmanship.

If you had a collection of 10 pre-war bugatis you may be excited to find this car no matter the condition to put in your collection and put on display.
