I was wondering what the law says about cars that resemble police vehicles. I know that flashing lights and the word Police is a no no, but what about the spot lamps and brush guards? Would one get pulled over for having a vehicle that resembles a police cruiser?

Keep in mind, I'm in the military and want to be a police officer one day. I'm asking this so that I don't runi any chances or my record.

Not really sure why you would want your own car to look like one, but in any case old cruisers are bought all the time from auctions. obviously police, light bars, ect are taken off. A spot light and/or a push bar are left on usually. As long as you aren't out there actually impersonating a real police cruiser you're fine. Don't go out and try to spotlight someone and then try to pull them over. Just use common sense.
