maybe with some luck on used part pricing he could beat the price of the kit, but for what you are getting item wise it is not a bad price, quality price on the other hand... you get what you pay for... but for low power like that i imagine it would be fine for a long time

Usually, CX racing kits are okay. When you look at the kit, the majority of it is just piping. I'd recommend reinforcing the turbo manifold so it can handle the cantilevered weight of the turbo, because many cheaper manifolds will crack over time. Also, the turbos are a bit iffy. I've heard of people having issues because they're not running the correct oil restricter and they blow the seals out due to too much oil, but an oil restricter is cheap so that's not a big deal.

www.ka-t.org is going to be your best source for information on this subject although I know there's some knowledgeable people in here w/ KA-T's.

The best way to tell if a kit is any good is to look at the components it uses. Specifically pay attention to the turbo, injectors, bov, manifold, wastegate, and find out what they want you to do for tuning. After you know all about what they use for their kit look around to see if you can find better stuff for the same price or lower.
