Oakes Detailing - Price Outline

This thread will be used for those wanting a quote for a detail. Pricing is not the same for every job! Depending on the size of the vehicle, the level of work wanted or required and the many different extras offered.

The price sheet below will give an idea as to the cost of each job in a GENERAL sense, there will be a description of what each job entails as a starting point. Any extras will be posted below to show their added charge.

In regards to pricing, you won't find similar prices locally that will return the same outstanding results for less. My work is on par with the most elite in the nation and priced considerably less. For example, you can be looking from a basic price of $600 to as high as $2,000 for a detail similar to my package III and IV. The products used in my details are not your typical auto store supplies, these are the highest end products available on the market.

The cosmetic condition of your car accounts for up to 40% of it's value...if you have a 40-50k car...$16,000 of that price can rest on the condition of the paint, wheels, interior and so forth. So paying 4-800 on a proper detail is nothing in regards of retaining your vehicles value. Then the 180-200 maintenance details once or twice a year just keeps the vehicle looking as well as it does after the initial detail.

Real life example that I just reminded myself just now to email the dealer. Brandywine Porsche off of Route 3 has a 997 GT2 in black in their used department with only 3,700 miles on it...when I was there 6 months ago the car was listed for $207k.
I was just in 3 weeks ago, it's down to $183k. I looked at the paint, and it is in worse conditon than the S600 that I just detailed not too long ago (relating it to another black car) and I could tell that standing 10 feet away from it. That can seriously be hindering the sale of the car, I wouldn't in a million years pay $183k for a car that looks like it was washed with brillo pads after 3k miles. So a $400 detail to make $182,600 is an absolute no brainer.

We offer full vehicle paint restoration, motorcycle detailing, new vehicle prep, regular maintenance plans and much more! Please, inquire today!

I see you say "glass clay", under the glass package. What exactly is that?

Awesome prices. Now I know someone eventually will ask if you could for example only do

Full vehicle hand wash/dry
Clay bar
Full Paint correction
-2-3 steps of polishing
-Glaze
-Sealant
-Wax
Rewash of vehicle
Spray wax

Would that still be the same price as the whole package IV?

That is identical to the package 3, typically the same price depending on the size of the vehicle.

Clay bar only removes contaminants and gives you that smooth finish thats ready for polish and wax. However, clay bar and wax won't give you any where near the results of a full paint corrective detail.

A paint corrective detail is a full polishing/compound (if necessary) job to the paint. There are hand polishes that enhance the gloss of the paint but do not correct it, which is what is typically found through a "detail" shop.

The paint correction removes most, if not all

-scratches (not always removable, if paint is missing then the paint is missing) -swirls
-rids/spider webbing(small hair like looking scratches in the paint, seen in light reflections)
-oxidation/fading (blistered paint or peeling clearcoat is not repairable through polishing)
-dull ness which is basically the start of oxidation
-paint overspray

Essentially, it restores the paint to completely new condition, bringing back the depth and gloss of the original paint giving a flawless look

You can see examples of paint correction in these threads:

Yes, I do headlight restoration, you'd be looking at $250-300 for the full exterior detail.

Yes it does, it's a 2-3 stage machine polishing with the appropriate pads and polishes and levelers
