Purchased vehicles from PA, DE, NJ before but never VA. Do I need to go to a notary with the seller somewhere in VA? Or do I just need him to sign a bill of sale agreement & the title & bring back to a PA notary?

For $5 I would just have it notorized just to be safe and have the peice of mind.

dmv is closed on Sundays in Va and when you buy or sell vehicles there you do not need any of that bs notary crap.

Awesome, that's what I wanted to hear. So just signatures and you're good? This is how it worked when I bought a bike from DE too.

yeah just sign the title and if you want make a bill of sale... i always had one when i was living there and buying or selling cars. but never was asked for it at dmv... other great thing about down there, you dont have to have a valid dl to tag and register a vehicle either. not that this matters in this case. ;p
