I'm sure you probably know this already but don't forget to put the dowl pins back in. You might be better off getting new pins now to give to the machine shop just in case they have to destroy your old ones to get them out.

Without dowel pins the flywheel will grenade on you and destroy everything....

It would cost more, #1, and #2, I have a lot more done to this car that I really don't want to swap over. Plus, it was my first car.

In most cases, it would be.

But finding a saturn with a manual trans that's costing me less than 500 bucks and that is in decent shape with decent components is slim. I've still not spent 500 bucks in this swap. Close, but not quite. I think I'm somewhere around 370ish including the trans. All work is done labor-free (or beer and food), so that's not a factor. Most manual saturns in the condition that this trans and car are in are 3k minimum.

Dude, my car parts list was just a long as ur when i did my 5 speed swap.I recomend people just buying a front clip and take the parts off urself instead of searching for them.The biggest pain was the shift linkage and changing the brake and clutch pedal.But the tranny install is pretty easy..

Hmm.

Shift linkage and pedals go in in about 5 minutes. Grommets for the linkage are a pain though.
