My s13 build...vh/suede/tubs/wire tuck 56k no way

Wanted to redo my build thread..to many pictures and going a complete different direction so mods feel free to close/delete/whatever my old thread

This is her when I first picked her up

UGLY interior.

I removed the tach, swapped steering wheels, swapped in S14 seats, did the headunit wiring, removed the nasty cloth on the door panels, had my gf make me a banging bandanna shift boot and cleaned the **** out of everything.

I ended up swapping wheels with my friend which brought me here

Then got a system together..

And got this

Added some Cusco Comp S's..

My favorite 'stage' that the car was in

Rocked it like that for a little..

Moved the plate

And got this stuff

Nismo mounts(for sale)

OEM tob

Then bought this

Painted..

Then I got the car up on jack stands and started tearing her apart

...

And I'm left with this..

Old

New

Started cleaning the bay

And got a short shifter

Got it all back together and running...found out the trans I bought was shot...so back onto the jackstands it went and a new trans was put in

Fixed and primed the hatch

Done

Engine..

Interior

Also got this

And this

S14 seats hurt my back(was in a bad car accident) so I swapped them back(dirty I know)

Anddd around here is where the engine blew....not even 200 miles after it was swapped

The engine was 'refreshed' I pulled the usual stuff off didn't look bad so I put it in. Turns out revious owner RTV'd the **** out of everything(front cover, oil pan, upper front cover), and it came off on the inside and completely plugged the oil pick up tube...

This seems oddly familiar

Bought this..

Together..

Started some porting on the head

Pre surgery

The start(again)

...

And here is about where I decided to go v8...

Then it turned into a full build

Interior out

Decided to do all black suede so started that..

(still needs the insert done, doing it gucci)

Pulled the carpet and stuff

Painted the dash bar

And dyed the carpets

And got some diamond racing 15's..(for sale probably)

More stripping

It was fully wire wheeled, don't really have any pictures of it..

Then primed

Rust cut out

Hatch primed almost done

Sound deadening

DCC bought/wired up

Relocating the fuse box under the dash/by the toe boards..

One half

Andd the other

Stripped most of the **** off the firewall...did I mention I'm stitch welding the inside and engine bay also?

Main harness work..

Fuse panels I'm using..

Diagram I was working on

And that's about where I'm at, hopefully have updates in a day or 2

how did you get the suede to go around the dash so good? i thought you had to stitch the corners?

Yeah, it can't be one piece around the corners, it just won't work. I cut it and over lapped the edges, it's noticeable but not badly...I'm getting a HUD dash to go with the cluster and am going to redo the suede but with red stitching this time

Engine bay currently..

Looks like a pretty rad build.

I was going to do a VH45 S13 once and then got away from it due to the lack of aftermarket support for the motor at the time.

What are you doing for the transmission? Mazworx? Dixon? Custom?

I had a Dixon plate that I was going to use on my swap, and it's my favorite way to adapt a Z32 Transmission to a VH. I actually sold the Dixon plate to a member on here.

I'm going to be running a z32 trans with machining from Mazworx along with their driveshaft. I'll be making the mounts myself, don't like how the mazworx ones look.

Todays works..

And pulled the trans and stuff

Pulled the back apart...dirty as hell in there lol

Going to get a nice cleaning tomorrow

Fresh out

Ready for some plastic polish..gonna make these babys like new

Pulled the tank. It actually looks good in there, lol.

I was expecting it to be bad, judging from the rest of the car.. I guess I'm just going to clean it up, re coat it, and still use it. If it was bad, I was going to cut the floor out, run a cell/external pump/AN lines all the way to the engine bay, which would be $5-600 to do the way I wanted, but since it's good I'll put the money towards something else for now and do that later on down the road.

Also, did I mention I love wiring?

Stripping out the rear wiper, antenna, the rest of the seat belt system and anything else I come across

.....

Stripped and laid out(somewhat lol) on the table, pulled the front harness off it because this will be done soon

What was pulled out so far, still didn't get to the dash side of the harness
