Hey guys,
Okay so heres the deal,my MacBook is about a year and a half old and it has been recently running REALLLLLLLY slow. I can't even browse the internet without it dragging and taking forever to load pages.
I upgraded to the new OS (snow leopard) and I've cleared my history and caches and it hasn't helped much at all.
I am constantly having to restart it in order to get it to run. last time i restarted my camera came on, and won't go off now...

Any suggestions? Help? Advice? I'm open to anything, especially since I'm going back to school in less than a week.

lemme see your desktop...(trust me)

also...what programs are you running when the computer seems slow?

how full is your Hard Drive?

when was the last time you did any disk maintenance on it? (defragment/hardware scan)

Donate the mac. Write it off on your taxes. Buy pc(windows 7). also write off as business expense.

no no... install windows 7 and take it into the mac store... tell them when you originally upgrade the OS to snow leopard the damn thing broke. then you installed W7 and everything works better than ever. then have a laugh at the expense of the mac geeks having heart attacks

Trust me i had her partition windows on it before,she hates it.

I already had her download cocktail,but it only helped some.

try W7...

its nearly impossible to diagnose computer issues without having the computer right in front of you.

take it to best buy and tell them its ****ed up

We might take it to the mac store in cherry hill,but am really just asking if anyone knows/has any tips in unjunking specifically for mac.

She is not going to put 7 on her mac,she would have gotten a pc if she wanted a m$ OS.

i understand.

i do have to point out that you used the money symbol for the "S" in MS... but Apple is by far more expensive with their products than MS is

sql isn't really code. i assume you're talking about databases? its also free

mac store is your best bet though

Mine does the same thing, when its on the internet it dogs like a son o a bitch. When Im just using the regular computer its fine. Wtf I thought Macs were the perfect computer!!?

I have nothing on my desktop at all. my hardrive is not full at all, i mostly only have word documents saved for school stuff.
Mostly safari runs slow, but i use it the most.
This camera staying on is getting annoying now, and i feel like everything is running super slow compared to how it was a few months ago.
