Bought a battery charger- quick ???

So I ran out today and bought a Diehard charger/starter with 50/10/2 amps. I read the instructions but it doesn't mention trickle charging or leaving the charger on the vehicle for extended periods at all. I understand that the 10 amp is a quick charge but is the 2 amp a trickle? Can I leave it on the car for week long periods?

Use 2.

Monitor heat, make sure the battery isn't getting hot.

You'll be fine.

Also (and yes I know this is a stupid question) I can't find anything in the bay to ground it too. It says to clip the black cable to the engine block or thick gauge piece of frame...I have nothing exposed to connect it to. There's a large nut where my shock comes through near the strut bar that touches the shell but nothing on the block itself and nothing else unpainted. Can't I just go red to red and black to black?

Red to red and black to black should work. The best is always grounding it to a big bolt or something similar.

Most decent chargers have an auto off once they are fully changed. There isnt much you gotta do but hook it up and turn it on.
