Cleaning a really really bad windshield.
It sat outside for two weeks, also. Anyway after I got the clutch swapped out, and had it back on the ground I noticed that the windshield has a horrible coat of dirt. It's been a couple months, I've been cleaning it often, and it's still really bad. Does anyone have any tips on getting it off? I thought about using some kind of polish & my polisher, but didn't want to scratch the glass. Any help is appreciated. |

try the obvious... glass cleaner... first, then you can try a NEW razor blade, lacquer thinner, fine steel wool, or any combo of them. make sure the steel wool is the really fine kind. those are all ways we remove paint overspray from windows, so it'll definitely take car of whatever you've got on your glass. the steel wool works the best, basically makes glass like new.
