Oakes - Detailed: Work Truck Duo from Hell!

A short thread on two work trucks I recently did, the white Silverado was prepped as best as possible for resale. However, no paint correction or protection other than spray wax was performed to the exterior as it was rather dented up and no where near perfect. The exterior was also covered in cement splatter down the passenger side which added for some more fun removal!

The interior though, was SCREAMING for my help, also the lettering on the truck was to be removed. I was not camera crazy with these trucks as you can clearly tell, but figured that I would capture a few pics as I was more concerned with getting them done as opposed to documentation. Perfection was not sought or expected with these trucks, but in CLEARLY better condition to say the least.

What was found inside

The second truck, which I have very few pics of regrettably, became victim to paint overspray...from waterproofing house paint...The entire truck, excluding the very back, but including the roof of the cab AND the cap as well as every other body panel. About 8 hours was spent just on the paint removal using a special APC mix and FOUR brand new clay bars by the time all was said and done. I did not capture finished pics, however it can be assured that all the paint was removed and a glossy smooth surface was restored. I also thank Marcus, Phate1229, for his help on this truck.

Here are some pictures capturing the oversprayed paint and it's effect on the surface, even when wet!

Thanks for reading and sorry I couldn't have been more photographic with this thread, I focused most of my time getting the work done and not snapping a million photos to capture the progress of my work!
