Really Rare Mosler

So, this guy obviously wont be on TST, but I thought it was cool enough to post. So Im in Hawaii right now, and today we took a bus tour on Oahu. So we're on the bus driving and im looking out the window (taking in the scenery and looking for cars at the same time. At this point I naturally car spot everywhere I go) and as we pass this gas station I notice this ridiculous looking car sitting at the pump. Obviously a supercar of some sort, but as I saw the details I realized I hadn't seen one before in person. I remembered seeing it in pictures online somewhere. It was blue/green, had kinda ugly slit headlights, and the word "Raptor" on the side. I didnt know what it was at the time, so i started looking on Fast-autos.net on my iPhone cuz I knew I had seen pictures of it somewhere on there. I found out it was a Mosler Raptor from the late 90's.

Many of u may know Mosler for their current car the MT900. The raptor Preceded the MT900. Powered by a Lingenfelter modified LS1, the Raptor and its predecessors won many races in north america. I know mosler only made 100 of the type of car that the Raptor was, and the Raptor was the last variant of its chassis produced from, I found a correspondence between the founder of Mosler and a perspective customer, in this the founder says that there are only two Raptors in existence, one here in Hawaii, and the other is his. so it is quite a rare car. The one I saw was a blue/green color with black lettering, but I couldnt find any pics of it. so here the other one:

Here's the wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosler_Raptor

heres the chat between mosler and the customer: http://www.moslerauto.com/wwwboard/messages/89.html

After a little more digging, I have found positive conformation of the car here in hawaii. Its in this Youtube vid of this kid in his MR2 doing autoX at the statium here. The mosler Raptor is the car behind him and it passes the camera a few times, the best of which is at 0:24.

Ya I agree its pretty ugly, thats one of the reasons I noticed it. But how often do u see a car that they only produced 2 of? that alone in my book makes it an awesome car, just cuz its so rare, and its pretty fast too.

Might be ugly but once behind the wheel who cars. The car is sick fast. I have still never seen a mosler in real life. The current mosler is a heck of a deal though. 1/4 the cost of a saleen s7 but with the same or more performance.

Truth be told the saleen S7 has the ugliest interior you could imagine. Looks like some tuner used cheap ass parts in his garage to make it.

Where would you drive that in Hawaii. It seems kind of pointless to own something like that there.

Actually the roads there are amazing, i mean yea its an island, but its not a small island. Theres some good highway stretches and some incredible mountain roads. This was on the island of Oahu. For those of you who dont know, the xbox game test drive unlimited takes place on Oahu, and I found out that the game details of the road layout and the rest of the island are very accurate. Awesome place to have a car like that. I saw a bunch of other exotics and ill cars too. Ferraris, Lambos, an aston, a modded supra, Audi R8, etc many of the other islands are kind of underdeveloped, but Oahu is has as good an infrastructure as anywhere else in the US. Honolulu is a legit city, not just some little town. Its an awesome place
