Mishimoto Releases New SR20DET Replacement Starter

July 21, 2009 - Mishimoto is proud to announce the release of a new SR20DET replacement starter. The Mishimoto SR20DET replacement starters are made specifically for the Nissan S13/S14. A common problem with the factory starters is that they often go bad and need replacing. It is extremely difficult to find this replacement part and even harder to find brand new OEM replacements.

Mishimoto knows exactly what drivers are looking for which is why we have developed brand new OEM SR20DET replacement starters. No more searching or spending a fortune, Mishimoto has what you’re looking for.

All Mishimoto SR20DET replacement starters come with a lifetime warranty.

For more information on all new products visit www.mishimoto.com or call 1-877-GO-MISHI.

As opposed to the $500 version that you have to order from Nissan Japan that has no warranty?

does it have an SR or KA connector on it? SR one is smalled and anyone who has one knows that it falls off and has to be zipdies like a mofo.

what kind of turnround time are we looking at? is there a core charge?

incorrect

rebuilt isnt new... They cant replace everything. Not to mention If you dont have a starter and need one -

You know they'll be cheaper from a dealer/dist than direct from the manufacturer - so just give it time.

If you ever had one of these go bad in the past - you know how hard they are to afford/get.

I remember people paying upwards of 600$ to get them at one time.

These people continue to make decent parts at great prices yet people still want more.

And they have good customer service.

This is pretty Baller. There's only one other place I know of that you can get one of these BRAND NEW stateside and it doesn't come with a Lifetime warranty. I saw this posted by Mishimoto on another site and apparently the Warranty is pretty legit, I.E. No questions asked. I'd say it's a worth while investment for any SR.

Great option! My starter is slowly developing a high pitch squal upon start up....I should really just get one now, and keep my 'working' one as a spare

That's because they don't know the Ace Trucking Secret ;) Disconnect battery, inspect plug, and pry down on the female clip...works like a champ.
