Russiankid's 1992 Ford Ranger - Comes to an end, for sale!

Decided to start a build thread for this thing. It is a 1992 Ford Ranger, 4x4, 5-speed, 4-cylinder. After some research it is rare to have a 4x4 5-speed 4-cylinder. I bought this truck as the first vehicle I payed for in full myself. It was going to be a beater at first, but the table has turned and now it is more of a slow project.

So far I've been doing a lot of maintenance things along with small upgrades here and there. Definitely watching what I spend on it, thus nothing cool is happening yet.

So far I've done all fluid changes, cooling system hoses, water pump, timing belt, fuel system, and a tune up.

Plan for it is to drive it into the summer and enjoy the 4x4, right now I am torn between doing a 302 V8 swap or a 4.0L V6 swap. The V6 will be 10x easier, but the 302 would be worth it. So closer to summer time I will make up my mind.

Only problem I've encountered so far is a broken upper spring mount. They're known to rust, and I guess hopping through fields pays its price.

When I first got it.

Notice the front sags?

Here's the culprit

All good now.

Threw in some Autometer gauges into it today. Had these laying around for years so why not, the stock gauges suck anyway. The trans temp is actually engine temp.

They are crooked for a reason, they point towards the driver.

Oh and finally, the 4x4 does get a work out.

And it gets used like a truck...

I am bringing it up to main campus in August, and I need it to be reliable as I may be making a purchase in the summer that will require a truck for transportation.

Painted the wheels today. Got tired of the silver with a splash of rust.

When i had my Z, I looked everywhere for this setup, haha, I wanted it to be my DD while the Z was being tore down (got rid of the Z instead so it changed everything). What I'm saying is I'm jealous, haha.

Thanks. This thing in 4x4, in the mud, doesn't spin out at all. It slides like no other and so easy to control.

Thanks! I didn't think they would make such a drastic change to the appearance of the truck.

Got bored today, and since it is nice outside, I ended up washing it and cleaning up the paint some.
