Discounted rate at LA Fitness for TST members - any interest? (national membership)

I'm looking into setting something up to benefit TST members here, and wanted to see if there was any interest to pursue it.

I talked to the manager LA Fitness about getting a 'corporate discount' for the members of TST. This discounted rate membership will be good for any of the clubs nationally, so it will be good for any location you want to go to.

-If we get at least 6 people to sign up initially, we can qualify for the discount.
-After the initial, it is open enrollment for anyone else at the same rate.
-If you are already a member, you can add friends/family under your account afterwards at the same rate, plus they can skip the enrollment fee. (any friends/family under your account (up to 3) will all be charged monthly to the head account holder).
-This is a national membership, good for all LA Fitness' across the country.

The price they have offered is a $25 enrollment fee and $35 per month. This is a substantial savings on enrollment, and a good but somewhat common monthly fee.

I wanted to see if there's enough interest in this to pursue it so please give me some feedback... or what you'd want to see in order to be interested. If you're interested in other locations as well let me know that too.

Since they offer an "Aqua-Fit" class, I'm going to assume they do.

I've never been, so in between Googling, I decided to ask anyways...

Yeah they have a pool, bball court, and classes that are included. I think there are some other things that are additional like racquetball.

I confirmed that this is a national membership, meaning its good for any club across the nation. You can move from club to club if you please, its all included.

I would be interested except I'm already a member and already paying that rate but if it helps you get it started see if a current member will count towards your 6.

i enrolled for free and pay $45 a month. can i get the $35/month with this thing even though im already a member?

That's pretty good. I'm paying $35 a month there now for just a single club. It'd be great if I could get it same rate for any club, although I hardly travel. lol

I would but the closest la fitness to me is easton. just too far to drive.

have any of you guys tried to quit after signing up with LA Fitness? they are notourious for not canceling payments and whatnot and ripping you off. just a heads up. do a google search on it if you dont believe me.

I know they do...they did it to my brother when he froze his account...they kept charging him the full amount for months and refused to rectify it.

I think LA is expensive but 1. They have 2 indoor basketball courts at my location and 2. a ton of girls go there

I have a lot of complaints about the facilities but there's nowhere else to play ball that isn't ridiculously expensive.

I would be minus there's a place closer than the nearest LA and they have the same price. Plus, membership covers all locations.

You might have to sign up through my contact, but I dont think you'll need to actually come out to the Bensalem location, and since the membership is national you can go to any club to exercise.
