New Film Camera ** Shots Added ** First Post

i just need to buy the chemicals to make the bombs now

im excited to shoot medium. the texture and emotion that you get from film attracted me to start this

Zenza Bronica ETRS

out of 4 15shot rolls these are the best of the best.
im actually pleased how they came out.

i dont know what all you need for medium format. ive been told you need a couple additional items as compared to 35mm

im going to get two rolls developed today. i know they will be crap. i didnt meter half of one of the rolls b/c i was too lazy to bring out my digital.

after i see the results. i will see if they can scan it.
friday is supposed to be nice weather so i am going to see if i can produce a solid roll with all decent shots

Agh, go buy yourself a cheap meter. Carrying around a dSLR just to meter is no fun!

I almost bought a 120 film camera a few months ago, the look is unlike anything you can produce with 35mm. I'm sure you'll love it if you invest some time and get used to it, congrats! If you get two shots you like out of the first couple rolls I think you're in a good place, haha don't get frustrated. The keeper rate will go up though.

i should b/c it is getting to be a pain.

i went to ritz to see if they developed and they dont. they send it out. takes 2 weeks. ill just do it myself.
ill see if i can grab some supplies from scott.
it is a blast to use! i just need to calm down with the picture taking. 15shots a roll goes by quick.

Damn, I have a ETR Si and haven't used it in ages. the 4.5cm format is really sweet and Zenza lenses are the shiz... so sharp. Here's a sample of tri-x that I cropped pretty close, only about 30% of the full frame. This image was drum scanned at 600dpi

E6 (Extachrome) is beautiful and is holds a beautiful image as well, pretty sure folks are still processing E6, NYCamera&Video? In any event, enjoy this camera man... the 100 macro is a amazing lens as well... very affordable too.

that a sharp amazing picture. i fell in love with this camera. is so much fun to use.
i found a place that develops 120 slide so i will have my test shots up mid week. im anxious to see how some of them turned out.
im using fujichrome for color and i forget what my b&w is. i only have 3 rolls of color left so im going to save them for now. i think i have 10 b&w left.
thats the one thing i like about these. the lenses are affordable.

the one thing i hate though is metering with my xti.
i mean yeah its a pain to lug around. but it sucks b/c i see what the shot is going to look like beforhand. and i like the feeling of having to wait to see what it turned out to look like

Yeah.. I self censored the image, eh hem.. I mean edited... I loved shooting b&w, the tonal quality is simply amazing. Help if you have a high-end drum scanner tho. Duart in NY City scanned 10 images for me for a show series that never got published.
