Widebody 350Z

We have a customer here at work who races in SCCA events with several cars. This is one has a legit Veilside widebody kit and extremely wide tires :D.

I got a DSLR for Christmas but haven't used it as much as I'd like to so I went back and snapped a few... this is the outcome.

Any photo tips are helpful . I'm looking to improve them. Thanks and be kind ;)

to me that looks like overfenders, not a widebody, but eh. i think it kills the flow of the car, dont like it.

as for the photos... they're a bit dark, makes it hard to make out the detail of a dark colored car. if its parked in a garage with an open door its going to make the car lit from one side but not the others, so just something to keep in mind if you're looking for more even lighting in the future.

Overfenders/widebody... lol. The fenders pretty much cut out/hammered down to fit the tires. The kit is technically called a widebody but to each their own.

Yeah it was hard since I was at work and the shop isn't well lit. I didn't want to use the flash and make the reflectors go crazy and I didnt have anything to set it on so I just made do with what I could. Not to mention I was reading the manual just moments before to find out how to change exposure time and stuff. That mixed with the camera now shooting inches above what I see in the view finder is frustrating to say the least.

Looking at them I need to tone down the ISO a bit. Doesn't help the car is painted flat black so it absorbs any and all light. I'll try toying with exposure and stuff to see what I can do. I have it saving the RAW files and JPG's so Ill see if I can toy with the RAW's and see what I can get out of it.

The wing is a little obnoxious but this car is strictly a track car. It wouldn't be on there it was for looks.

The owner of the vehicle is a male and I don't know if a female drives this. I Google it and it came up with this http://www.girliegirlracing.com/shop/default.asp. He probably supports the organization.

i dont understand why you are going through the extra effort of watermarking your images when you are still learning the fundamentals of photography.

I don't mind the darkness, it looks more like the vignettes are a bit extreme. But i feel it gives the shots a nice secretive feel to them. the ISO seems fine to me.
Love it from the rear, not sure i like it from the front.

I agree 100% with the vignettes...but it kind of works...maybe tone them down a little bit

For a peace of mind. I'd rather take the 15 seconds and throw my name on them then someone else take them and say the shots are theirs.

Sorry, wasn't aware watermarking was only for people that have been doing it for a while.
