Cd's/TFCD

anyone put photos on cd's for models/clients? (TFCD)

if so, which kinds of cd's do you use?

im just looking to puts some pictures of previous family events on a disc for some family members. Nothing special, just so they can still get the good images and be able to do what they please with them.

(I do have a website, but the CD would be for an "older" family member, not a )

also, i've made slide shows in iDVD on my mac b4, but that was with a DVD disc. my question is if i add the photos to a disc (one recommended ) could i put it in a dvd player and see a slide show, or would it have to be put in a computer and be seen as files? (probably a dumb question but still gonna ask)
