Not all 2g's with FMIC's overheat. But if yours is, you can make ducting so air actually goes into your rad. because you took all that all the factory ducting out for the FMIC, or you can upgrade your rad, or you can take the ac condenser out too. Mine didnt overheat with a SSAC IC and still had ac and stock rad.

Mine did at first. I had to set-up DSMLink to turn the fans on all the time and I was fine. I ended up taking the A/C out anyway when I switched to the bigger turbo. The temp used to climb a bit when I actually used the A/C in that car so I didn't find it necessary to keep the A/C

I have a stock cooling setup and i have no problems. I'm running the big greddy fmic and just have the dsmlink offset at 12-15*. Keeps me hovering around 185*.

I hard-wired my 1Gs fans to a toggle switch, so not only are they always on while the car is on, but I have the option of keepin them on when I'm waiting to run, or cooling down at the track. Just a thought.

My 2g has no a/c, huge fmic and I only run the stock passenger side fan in stock form (not forced on all the time or anything like that) and I have never had any overheating issues, car has been this way since 2005.

The a/c compressor is not the issue, it's the CONDENSER that blocks airflow to the radiator since it sits in front of it.

i have a 1g with a fmic and my stock rad blew so i got a mishimoto rad a 10'' fan and a 12'' fan i just turn on the fans when the car is running for awhile in hot weather. i'd change your coolant and make sure you dont have a headgasket issue. then invest in a mishi rad and fans they look great and are very affordable

That sux, check all the stupid stuff before spending money on a radiator tho. I run my stock rad with only one fan and no issues whatsoever.
