so my whole head is trashed (updated with pics)

so im driving my car, and i hear this slight knocking noise, so i pull over. check my oil, and everything looks good. So i drive home not going over 2k rpms. and once i get home, i investigate more. I noticed my timing belt has rub marks on it, and the cover was removed when i got it. So i look at the side of the cover, and it has been hitting the cam gear. and shreadding the plastic. so then i pop off the oil cap and look at my cam , and it is all chipped and chunks are missing,

dude! wtf. my guess is either your belt slipped and the pistons hit the valves and then the valves f'd the cams. or you have some serious detonation issues that caused the same problem

i would line it up top dead center first,and go over all your timing marks.If it jumped a tooth or two,you might be able to throw a new belt on and go.I would try that first,because if you dont have to pull the head then it will save you alot of trouble.

seems shane, a.k.a. "slyguy" needs some loving. im sure LJ will give him some in the IM they are having right now.

Not only is he looking for some love on the internet, he is also a huge gaming nerd, and takes part in many, many online forums. So , in just a few hours, everyone on the internet , who knows him, will know not to buy stuff from him. he is in classified ads all over the net.

I told him not to mess with me, well now he is screwed.

i must have missed the cam lobe part...........Well best bet now would be to drain the oil,pull the pan,clean it out,put some other cams in there,n/a will be fine,or turbos ones if you can find them,and replace anything that might be messed up,no need to pull the head.

was fine everything was perfect on the car i have no ****ing idea what your
talking about.
oh and P.S The oil filter falling off sounds like you turned up the ****ing
boost, alot of cars blow the filter out when the crank case has positive
pressure

A. bull****, i called you, and you said u were less then 20 minutes away from home, i called to make sure u got home safe. Me being NICE
B. 15 days? really, wow, you cant count. considering i bought the car 8 DAYS AGO... i didnt know they had computers in jail.
C. yea, the oil filter may have been fine, but it wasnt the following day. i didnt touch anything. No i didnt raise the boost, sorry im not a newbie, fast and furious racer and raised the boost to 25psi yo, mad b00st SoN!! I kept it at 15psi, where it should have been.

it was hitting 15psi fine when you bought what happen i have no idea either
inless u dogged the car horriblely and blew the turbo? that turbo only has
40k miles on it. and about the wiring harness catching on fire i have no
idea its never caught on fire before and every other one of my dsm buddies
say it happens to everyone sometime in there life i really dont know did u
mess with the wiring or do something to cause the fire because i drove 200+
miles perfectly fine without any problems what so ever the car ran perfect
when i sold it to you i didnt **** with anything you even know yourself it
ran perfect because u checked everything to your knowledge of dsm's i'm
sorry about your luck i dont know what to say i have my own problems because of that pa drive including going back to court tomorrow morning but wis you the best of luck and everything. take care.

A. that was one hell of a run on sentance you had in there. wow.
B. Yes i ripped on the car, why not? No i didnt boost it at 15psi everywhere i went. the turbo is fine, i didnt mention the turbo at all. The wiring harness? you know why it caught on fire? The turbo timer was wired wrong, and YOU YOURSELF told me it was wired to the turn signal... why? dont ask me? but every time i turned left, and used my signal, the TT shut off and turned back on... i should have known something was up.
C. yea, thats cool, wish me the best of luck, with my non running dsm, and you with the cash for it... good sale buddy, hope to do buisness with you again in the near future go have fun in your dungeon and wizards world on the internet , you weirdo freak.

No way dude! That really sucks. I would definatly contact the dude you bought it from. Didnt he originally post the car for sale on this forum?

Damn dude. I feel for you bad. I would def contact some type of authority. If anything try to contact a lawyer and go after him on that he sold you a car which he knew had problems with. Also when he signed the title over, did he write "sold as is" on the back of the title, if not you may have a chance.

doesnt say AS IS on the back of the title, he could very easily fight it and say it is a used car, and used cars have problems... it woudnt be a easy case. now if it was a 02 or newer, maybe i could do something, but its almost 15 years old.

Ok here is a pic. The RED lines are the "chunks" or huge missing peices. The Yellow lines lead to the "chips" , or smaller peices that are missing. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic in the middle of the night, but its better then nothing. Looks alot worse in person, u cant really tell whats wrong in this pic. il take the valve cover off tomarrow, after i check the oil when i drain it.

EDIT: this pic was taken through the oil cap lol.

Sorry to hear about that man. The kid must of been hiding something up or just did the ****tiest job on trying to fix something. I mean he just said he replaced the belt and some other stuff so he could of done a ****ty job on that or something. Who knows? Good luck on trying to get this whole ordeal worked out. I'll back you up if his e-thugs try anything haha.
