Just trying to get an idea of what it would cost to buy the swap from 350z/g35. Im thinking of a doing a vq35de swap in my s13 next year but cant find a place to get the full swap or even an idea of what it will cost me for one. Dont need a new engine but one with under 60k would be nice.

wondering if anybody knows where to source them and what it will cost for engine/trans/ecu

We have and engine and trans. TheECU and stuff you won't need, you can't use it without all the wiring, body control mmodule and the keys from the g35/350z. Your only hope is truthfully a Haltech Platnium.

at first I asked myself why you would want that motor instead of a rb25 or rb26, then I looked at some videos on youtube. that would be an interesting combo. good luck with it.

Thanks guys, i saw that you offered a conversion harness but didnt know about the whole swap, how much would the engine and trans be? Or should i just stop by the shop?

Just wanted to do something different instead of swapping in an rb or building my sr20 like everyone else, thought about ls1 or 2jz but i want to keep it all nissan!

Feel free to stop on over, the VQ is defenitly an awesome motor for the S chassis. We helped Dennis Mertzanis with his VQ'd S14 and it's a blast to drive. 300hp is good but with the flat torque output of the VQ it makes for an awesome drifter. Even NA!

it will be awhile guys i dont graduate till spring of 2010 just want to get an idea of what its going to cost and the work involved.

but i will be looking to sell/trade my sr20det with gt28r on it when the time comes
