had something taken from me

on friday morning my uncle decided to come into my grandparents home and took my xbox 360, assuming it was my cousins because it was my cousins but bought it off him,now i get a call after i get out of the hospital for a shoulder injury that happened the night before at work from my sister saying that my uncle came into the house and took my xbox and i wont get it back until my cousin gives him back a gun he can not legally own because he was found to be unstable to own a firearm after stealing an ambulance and holding his own son and friend hostage in his home for 2.5 hours. now he was told by a pa state trooper that he can no longer own a firearm because of this. i called the police in my town and they were no help at all. they told me that since he is a family member they will not get involved, and that i have to go up to the district court and sue him to get my xbox back from him. can they techicnally get involved and they just dont want to because they think it will blow over and ill get it back.

yes i tired to explain to him that i bought the xbox off of him but he slammed the door in my face and told me to go **** myself.

also another question for you sarge is he allowed to own a firearm when he was found to have an unsound mind? i was told by a pa state trooper that he was not. thank you for your help sarge

Nice guy your uncle. OK well you can sign a theft charge maybe burglary if he unlawfully entered your home and took the xbox. The local police should have taken a report on this or at least given you a case number for court.
