Eagles with a twist

I've been trying some new methods of making pictures I post on the boards look more interesting and trying to give them some dimension. So I figured I'd try adding "frames" to highlight the shot. Here are a couple. What do you think?

Both were taken with the D3, 300 2.8, and TC20EII converter.

the pictures are incredible. But I am not a fan of the frames. I have never liked that little corner fade frame. It's a personal thing that I've never liked.

Nice pics. As far as the frames go...I would get rid of the black stroke and the drop shadow...makes it too busy and IMO takes away from the picture.

Thanks for the feedback. I would never print them like that, but I want more than just a plain pic to post. I'll try some different stuff and post a few more. I think I have more eagle pics somewhere.....

both shots look good but the frame isnt working for me... i think its just the color of it and how it blends with the background of the pics. maybe if the color was darker brown or something like that id like it more with a frame. or maybe just get rid of that outer frame and leave the small black border with the drop shadow, that may work for me too

Great shots as usual, Rich. I don't think the frames look bad, but at the same time I think that the shots are so good that they do not need the frames to make them "pop"

We'll have to go down there soon, my last final is Thursday.

I think a more simple frame would suit better. Possibly just a nice black frame? or white frame with black outline.
Pictures are great though!
