I thought I'd share this with you folks, although I'm sure the majority of you don't care...

I just saw pictures of the new Honda Insight concept... here's a link with a gallery and such:

supposedly it's going on sale in 2009... If you remember the original insight, it does look a bit similar, but I feel like it's severely lacking without the fender skirts.

Anyway, it looks alright, I specifically liked the digital controls and such, and the one thing that sparked my attention was the window under the rear spoiler... seems like a nod to the CRX to me.

I have mixed feelings about it, but it's supposed to rival the Prius and be quite a bit cheaper, and that's something I can appreciate.

Any of you have any feelings about it? I doubt anyone here is going to plan on buying one, since we're all more interested in going fast, but it seems like it'll serve its purpose better than the original.

headlamps are sick..... it looks like a wagon civic, except that it doesnt look as bad as that sounds lol

it reminds me too much of the prius rather than the crx, except that it looks like a prius that actually looks good

Eh, it kind of looks like that ugly Mercedes thing. Then again, I think all Mercedes are ugly. Needless to say, I don't like it.

EH. I'm really not liking new hondas too much anymore. I guess it looks ok compared to the other stuff Ive seen recently. I miss the skirts over the back wheels. I really liked the first gen insight, I always wanted to get one and put a k series in it and make it a 4th gen crx!

The interior is baller... but nothing from the car makers these days is giving my a boner as far as exterior goes. That sucks.

Not to shabby looking. I still remember having to drive one of the 1st gen insights.... damn was that thing SLOW....

Downshift from 3rd-2nd to pass, and I still couldn't get it fast enough to make the move. And it wasn't even like I was trying to beat on it.

This thing is worlds better than the previous insight, that ... scooter/alien looking thing.

i'd buy it... but i think the tt v6 mustang will be better for the environment... you know... i really think laying down patches of rubber will help protect the asphalt from the sun's deadly rays...

You are, being as Toyota stole the aerodynamic design of the Prius from the first gen Insight. ;)
