Well I was browsing some scion boards i came across this video talking about the New Honda SI having tranny problems, specifically with 3rd gear popping out. I was just wondering do any of you have this same issue with third gear popping out, or anymore information....This is the first i heard about this problem

its been fixed. and was already talked about on this forum.

and that video is wrong, it wasnt a recall, just a TSB for 06-07 coupes and some 07 4dr's

i know more than a few guys who've had 3rd gear problems. Honda will take care of it though.

i know quite a few ppl wit 8th gen SIs and none have had problems, 06-08's too.

Reminds me of the threads on similar problems with the RSX transmissions.

gears 1-5 are from the rsx, and 6th is from a tsx, and the lsd is from a DC5R

k-series trans are garbage, one of the main reasons i got rid of my rsx......

That would be because it's basically the same transmission as the one in the Si.
