227 mph 1999 Honda Civic Si on eBay

Spotted on eBay and billed as the world's fastest civic.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda...1%7C240%3A1318

1999 Honda Civic Si ran a top speed of 227.7 mph back in August. They claim the Civic has the ability to produce 728 hp at 29 psi of boost and the record was achieved with only 15.2 psi. The car is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Starting at $21,777.77 is a little more than I can afford. LOL. Nice build info though.

wrong. the top speed is all in the gearing. theyre revving out to 12000rpms in 5th gear with an ls transmission with a modified ring & pinion. unless someone gets a custom gearset built for the car i doubt it will go any faster

^actually, if you read the listing, they stated that the car was headed towards 235 with the current setup. Due to a broken cvshaft or something, they only went 227

ha, I was thinking the same thing when I looked at the interior. Hope it has a lot of suspension and frame reinforcments, cause a civic is made pretty "cheap". But some one's gotta own the worlds fastest 'anything', so there's the civic . Pretty cool.
