Chevy beretta runs 13.681 at 103.26mph

We had a beretta mini meet in albany this weekend and went to lebanon valley dragway on saturday for some racing. I am pretty happy with it.

Run part1

run part2

My gf tried to switch to camera mode to get a better shot of the board but it didn't work

Here is another video of it from someone else that was there.

On a side note I can't stand rotary's. They are so obnoxiously loud. I was stuck next to this guy for ten minutes while he kept reving the hell out of his car.

Car is turbocharged running 12psi at the moment. I plan on raising the boost a little more to 15psi next time I go to the track. Hopefully I can make it soon before they close for the season.

Mods:
P&P 086 Head
Wiseco pistons
greddy type s BOV
EP LSD
and a lot of other things.

I am surprised you haven't seen it around if you live in Warminster. I live in Warminster and work in Warrington.

Isn't a turbo 2.8 is gonna be a very tight sqeeze in a fiero? It has been a while since I have seen the engine bay of a fiero. A quad4 (what I have in my gtz) might be a better option. It is smaller and lighter then a 2.8. It als gets better gas mileage and more stock HP. Downside is they are hard to find and will only get harder. I am currently stocking up on parts because I plan on having this motor and car for a long time.

Thanks everyone else.

You'd be suprised. They put everything in there from Northstars, SBCs, and SC3800's to Ecotecs, VR6s, and 4G63s.

A newer 3x00 motor would respond better to boost than the 2.8 tho..

/end off topic

Theres a few different versions of the quad4. GTZ's got the H.O. which made like 180 or 185 horse. The 3100 made 155 horse and only came in an automatic(peice of crap tranny IMO).

I got to ride in this car. Its intense for a beretta

I used to live in Meadowood. I now live in log college apartments. I work at staples so you can usually see my car on the side of the building. There is another white beretta Z26 at meadowood but that is me.

PM sent

Nice times. I assume you fixed the problem with the boost controller? What did it end up being?

Hopefully Quad4forums will be back up soon - in case you didn't know, the current host keeps getting hacked, and the host owner isn't too quick to get things working again.

180 HP in the early years. (93 HO = 175, 94 HO = 170) Only the W41 made more (190 for early years) but was exclusive to Olds.

As for the V6... be happy the 3100 was mated to the 4t60e. If you want to talk about poor transmissions, there's the 92-93 Grand Am's with 3300 V6 (3800's cousin) that you could only get with a 3 speed auto. That engine had gobs of torque, but only having 3 speeds killed it. Not to mention how unreliable they were.

I ended up getting a cheap boost controller off of ebay. It was easier then trying to figure out what was wrong with the dual stage sytem rex had made. I had it set for 11-12 psi. Next time I go to the track I plan on raising it up a little more.
