Are STi Trannies hard for you to get?

I'm in need of a new trans soon, If I got a list together could you price it out? Bob says you're good people.

If you go through elite, you can actually get the jdm sti tranny which has a taller 5th-6th. Also, those tranny's come non-dccd in most years so you won't have that rear bias like most of us did before our customer controllers.

There is always AAA. I don't see how you could base your decision solely off of that...

The JDM trans has a shorter 5-6... better for top end accelleration, not quite as good for highway gas mileage.
I'd really prefer your decision on which trans to buy to be based on what you think will be best for you long term, so make that decision and make it happen. None of this wishy washy wherever the wind blows stuff... you won't be happy that way.

Refer to the chart below. Stay away from any tranny code ending in AA as that is open diff and its def. not what you want nor does it change the price. Good Luck!

Thanks Bryan, and Huff. Like I said it may seem like im being a little ehhh about it but as funds have it and the situation of it all I kinda dont have too much of a choice.

Bryan, do you know how much of a difference in parts I'll have by choosing a JDM trans? Im not worried about MPGs because I wont be driving nearly as much once the trans is done. Like I said though I would prefer a built 5mt but since im having trouble getting in touch with Andrew this may be a better route.

Everything is the same with bolting up. The axles are dependent if they are male or female ends that go into the tranny according to year. Thats the only differences I've really seen.

Well considering I have an 05 I think my axles have male ends, so I would probably need corrosponding axles too wouldnt I.
