Suggestions on video camera

looking for your opinions on a good digital camcorder. im looking at spending between $300-$400. I want a good camera, but dont wanna spend a fortune. I want it primarily to take in car vids and stuff. lookin for something with a remote cause it would be mounted in the back of the car.

Yo dude, I use B&H photo for all of my supplies and equipment for school.

I got a Canon ZR-850 digital camera with a kit (bag, extra batt., cleaning supplies, etc.) for under $300. Its a great little camera. Remote comes with it! Def. go to B&H's website and look around. Their prices are almost impossible to beat.

I totally agree. My brother has the ZR-850 and absolutely loves it. I borrowed it from him when i was shooting Formula D and mounted it inside one of the cars. I would've preferred my XL-2, but that's just WAY too big to be putting on a camera mount inside a car.
