Anyone else have profs who barely speak or write in english?

Just wondering if anyone else was trying to learn an already hard college class and now has the chance to learn it in a foreign language?

IE: My math class, taught by an insane russian guy in his 60's. Can barely write clearly in either russian or english.

I find myself pretty much having to re-teach everything I sit through in class to myself.

Last year I had a proffessor who wrote the English language with triangles, dashes, and circles and then asked us to copy it. I never once knew wtf he had really assigned for homework.

Entire PSU math department does not speak english and I am not that good at math, so learning partial differential equations on my own was sort of the death of me

what class and what school? I had a crazy russian that kinda fits that description for linear mathematics at CCP didnt understand a word he said but he let us have open book on our tests and for the final we were allowed to work together so when one person got an A he gave it to everyone and I got an A for the class. Sucked to get through the class though.

CCp only hires math teachers that don't speak English. It's awesome.

amen to that. My student teacher for one of my engineering classes was the worst. I would ask questions but eventually just give up on what he was trying to say.

My math teacher freshman yr was some russian chick. She had a heavy ass accent and talked to the bored the whole time too.. I ended up having to withdraw.

Now im taking it again this semster but every teacher in my school for this class is an immigrant with an accent so now im gonna try indian instead..

Word.

My math teacher looks like a 12 year old chinese boy with peach fuzz, and sounds about the same.

Luckily, he can write on the board. But speak? Hell no.

Thank God it's all mostly review for me... Math 21 FTW!
